Masks

I thought I was brave,
And found I was not.
Thought I was honest,
While lying to myself.

I thought I was intelligent,
And found a fool in me.
I thought I could survive,
When no one does.

I smile when I am hurt,
And cry when I am alone.

Life is full of discoveries,
Faces to be unmasked-
I am not what you see,
Everything you see is a lie
