Masks

I thought I was brave,
And found I was not.
Thought I was honest,
While lying to myself.

War I Lost

I’ve been told, to fight to the end,
To give it all, an’ lose with honor.

But to lose the war, without a finger raised
Without anyone knowing of the war

Burning Heart

Oh! Fresh wind…
When will you come?
Set aflame my heart-
A smoldering ember.

Friends and Lovers II

Read the first part of this poem Friends and Lovers

Years flew like the wind,
The tree stood rooted,
Thinking, of days,
Now beginning to fade.

Lost

Not to know that nothing was the same,
To have thought that nothing would change;
Fool was I not to change with the change.

I read the signs, and I smelt the change,

If dog is spelt LOYAL
Friend is spelt TRUST

If child is spelt CUTE
Mom is spelt LOVE

If boys are spelt NAUGHTY
Girls are spelt SWEET

If you are spelt BEST

Secrets

Scraps of paper, that holds my mind
Words of despair from my heart;
Makes up verses that make no sense

My Journey

I travel through the path
That many a lover walked before,
In search of your beauty that is

M’ Lady

Oh, I wish I could dive,
To the depth that I see;
Deeper than the ocean,
In her eyes.

How I wish I knew,

Ship in a Storm

Ship in a stormy night,
No port to call home,
And none to berth;
Lurching and swaying!

Mystery of Art

A heart touched by love-
As pure as a diamond,
And true as the Sun.
A heart known to sorrow,

Love at First Sight

The lingering feeling like a vintage,
The throbbing pain in my heart,
The lost look like in a puppy’s eye,

Friends and Lovers

What does the sparrows know,
’bout the sorrow of the tree.
They turn to its branches,
When their wings are tired.

What does the stream know,
’bout the sorrow of the tree.
